TN 036: Manual Installation of the Dream Report USB license key driver (HASP driver)

If you have inserted a Dream Report USB license dongle into a USB port of your PC, and if the red LED on your USB key is not permanently on within 1-2 minutes, it means the driver for the USB license dongle is not properly installed, and should be installed manually.

 To Manually Install the HASP driver

1. Open a Command Prompt console (run cmd)

   Open

   

   
   Note:  In the following commands, change the driver letter\path to the appropriate location on your system, if different from the default

2. Remove existing HASP driver installations - enter the following command:
   C:\ODS\Dream Report\Utilities\haspdinst.exe -kp -r
   
   

3. Install HASP driver - enter the following command:

   C:\ODS\Dream Report\Utilities\haspdinst.exe -kp -i
   
   

4. Verify that the existing HASP driver installations was successful - enter the following command:
   C:\ODS\Dream Report\Utilities\haspdinst.exe -info

   If the USB license driver was successfully installed, you will see the version of the installed driver.  For example:
